This time, we will travel back to the days when many of us started our adventure with Tibia. The beginning of the new millennium brought many changes, not only worldwide but also in Tibia. A lot of time has passed since those days, yet many of us still remember them. It’s frightening how quickly that time flew by, but also beautiful that we had the chance to experience it. You can find an introduction to this article, which will set the mood well, here: "How has Rookgaard changed?". In this article, I will attempt to reconstruct old screenshots found on the internet, replicating as many details as possible so you can feel like in the good old days.

Let's start with the town center, where changes in textures are primarily visible. The library has been separated from the rest of the building with a different type of tile. Carpets appeared on the floor, and the counters were equipped with flasks and other tools seemingly used for alchemy. The path to the bridge leading out of the town has been narrowed.
We move upstairs to the oracle, where textures have also changed, and alchemical items and a shelf have been added. A wallpaper, probably depicting a constellation, has appeared on the wall. Finally, Cipsoft employees have allowed us to see the sky.
It's time to visit Cipfried. Over time, the temple has gained character. The walls and columns have changed shape. Today, inside we can find a table with candlesticks, in addition to a few torches.
The town center has seen further changes. Some plants were added, and some were removed. Tom has renovated his store, replacing stone with wood. Apparently, he also wanted to keep an eye on Obi, which is why he installed a window behind him (pssst... unconfirmed theory). Decorative patterns have appeared on the castle.
The path to the bridge and towards the premium area.
We reach the passage between the free account and premium account areas. Changes in the map are visible not only in terms of textures but also in the island layout.
The southern part of the island and the descent to the sewers.
Changes are changes, but graphically, Tibia has improved, even though many of you may look back at the old graphics with nostalgia. Rookgaard is pleasing to the eye, providing atmospheric experiences, but there is one thing that stands out more than the textures - the players. Over the years, there are fewer and fewer of them. Many decide to go to Dawnport, and others have forgotten about the beginner's island. However, it is up to us to encourage other players to return, even for a moment, so that in the rush for levels, they can remember how it used to be. I hope this article encourages some of them to take a look at the island.

If this blog is well received, I will try to make it a regular series that will be published from time to time, showcasing different locations. Or maybe you have some interesting screenshots that you would like to see?

Regards,
Rookie Team
