In the second part of our journey, we will go back even further into Rookgaard, leaving the city limits. We will head to places where nature and landscapes dominate the buildings. Beyond the walls, the world becomes more wild, full of secrets and stories waiting to be discovered. Time will cease to matter as we set out on forgotten paths, discovering changes in the area as well as places that have resisted the passage of time.

We will start with the famous stairs leading to the western part of the island. Over the years, this route has been trodden by many residents of Rookgaard. Comparing photos, we can see how the improvement of the rock textures has significantly affected the appearance of the surroundings.
Once we go through these stairs, it is impossible to miss the place where the Sword of Fury is located. Its beauty, despite the passing of years, is still impressive. The fire surrounding it, together with the improved quality of the lighting effects, gives this place an incredible atmosphere, especially at night.
Next, we head to the tall tower with the orc blacksmith, another characteristic place on Rookgaard. Although there are a few new containers, the only major changes concern the textures.
Going down to the underground, we start with an uncharacteristic tunnel that shows how the interior of the island has changed. Cobwebs, moss, and cracks in the rocks create a dark atmosphere, and the light of torches completes the atmosphere.
Further on, we come across the lair of a dead dragon, surrounded by fire and a destroyed tunnel through which he most likely arrived. This area, with the new textures, seems even more gloomy, almost reminiscent of hell.
In Mino Hell, we come across a closed door to Minotaur Mage. Although the columns remain unchanged, the energy field rework has significantly improved the appearance of the room. The doors are still closed to the curious.
Finally, we come across the famous Ghoul. Although the moss has managed to appear on the walls of his room, the Ghoul is still stuck behind the wall. However, it is clear that the wall is starting to crack—perhaps we will have the opportunity to face him in the future.
At the end of our journey through the nooks and crannies of Rookgaard, it is clear that although many elements of this island have changed, the spirit of the past is still alive. Modernization of textures and details emphasizes the beauty of these places, but it is the history and memories of players that give them their true value. Every path, every nook and cranny reminds us that despite technological progress, the magic of Rookgaard does not disappear. Maybe it is worth going back and rediscovering these places for yourself?
