You may already know this, or you might not have had a clue, but quite recently, on December 7th of this year, the legendary guild Red Rose celebrated its 27th anniversary. We’ve written about them before, but as a reminder: it is currently the second oldest active guild in the entire game. In their honor, the Guildhall of the Red Rose was created on Fibula Island, along with the Rose Shield item.
As participants in the Fansite Programme, we received an invitation to the annual celebration. This time, we managed to make it. So, we accepted the invitation and mentally prepared ourselves for going out among people.
Unfortunately, this year’s celebration, as luck would have it, coincided with the Rapid Respawn Weekend event, which caused waiting queues in the game. And that's how Stonetitus (who probably wanted to attend even more than I did) wasn't able to join the anniversary for even a single minute… :(.
So I ended up alone, but I made sure I could now share what I experienced on Antica.
The Tunnel to Fibula and the Welcome
The path to Fibula, as is standard for Red Rose, was properly decorated, indeed, even more lavishly than in 2016.
Additionally, guild members even took on the role of guards, keeping order in the tunnel.
And on site, the organizers outdid themselves, decorating not only the paths but also the houses and the entire town square…
At 6:00 PM, we could finally enter the guildhall - once Sir Balin, decked out as a dwarf guard, checked our invitations.
While waiting for the speech scheduled at 6:40 PM, I was able to chat with other attendees and watch the fireworks... or was it confetti? I'm not entirely sure, but it was nice and colorful.

And on that question, I managed to earn an honorary single point, which ultimately secured me third place. As you can see, my time spent playing on Rookgaard was not in vain!
Casino
As soon as the excitement settled… or not! We immediately headed to the casino on level -1. Each player received 20 scarab coins, and the host, Sinister Solice, approached each participant, either increasing or decreasing their holdings. The winner would be the player who ended up with any tokens in their possession. There were three games to choose from:

Guess The Number
When it was my turn, I immediately bet 5 scarab coins 4 times on "high", just for fun, but still hoping that I might win at least once.
No luck! I didn't hit a single time, and that was the end of my grand gambling adventure.
Next Games
After taking my daily vitamins After drinking a beer from the bucket at the bar (that was my roleplay maximum for the day…), I immediately headed to the next attraction. Somehow, I managed to crawl to the building, where two more attractions awaited me:
It so happened that we started with a memory game, where you had to provide two coordinates hiding the same runes. While I was already familiar with the box-smashing game, this one was a new experience for me.
There weren't too many participants (thanks to the waiting queues!), so everyone had the chance to play multiple times.
I didn't win anything here, and I even made a huge blunder when, with a 50% chance of picking the correct rune, I chose the spot hiding the Sudden Death rune (a rune without a pair).
We ended the game with an extra round of guessing the number rolled by the dice. Once again, luck wasn't on my side!
Throughout the entire game, Smashing Pumpkin kept the participants entertained, occasionally pretending to fall asleep or forgetting what exactly he was supposed to be doing.
Box-Smashing Game
After finishing one game, we immediately moved on to the next. There were plenty of boxes to smash, and each one held a reward (for example, Giant Sword, Skull Helmet, Onyx Flail, Backpack of Holding, Santa Fox).
To make things more interesting, every so often, in a wild frenzy, Smashing Pumpkin would enter the room full of boxes, smashing them at random, and Cotelaria had to react by throwing him out of the building. The idea was to ensure that the fun never felt routine, even for a moment.
When only the last box remained, Smashing Pumpkin stole it and ran straight to the guildhall, where we opened it together, thus bringing all the activities to an end.
Conclusion
We wrapped up the day with a relaxed chat around the table, and before we knew it, it was almost midnight, marking the end of another adventure.
Summary
I've never attended another guild's event, but after seeing this one - and considering my own experience in organizing contests - I can only say that the level of this event was absolutely top-notch!
