Rookie.com.pl Fansite Item Design Contest
Rookie.com.pl wants to announce fansite item design contest! This is a great opportunity to show your graphic skills during #StayAtHome campaign!
§1. Rules
1.1. The contest ends on May 31th, 2020 at 23:59 CEST.
1.2. You can only use this thread to take part in the contest.
1.3. Sprite cannot be published anywhere else before the submission. It means sprites from other contests are invalid.
1.4. The fansite item must refer to Rookgaard and Rookie.com.pl site. Type of item is up to contestant!
1.5. Plagiarism is unacceptable and will be severly punished!
1.6. Rookie.com.pl Team members cannot take part in the contest.
1.7. You can submit as much sprites as you want.
1.8. Winners will be chosen by Rookie.com.pl Team and Community Managers.
1.9. Entry must comply with details from §2.
§2. Design requirements 2.1. Technical details
• size: 32 x 32 pixel
• it can be animated, but may contain 64 frames at most
• each frame can have a different exposure time (which is usually AT around 100 to 200 ms per frame)
• if you want pauses within the animation, do not include the same frame multiple times In a row, but instead increase the exposure time for this specific frame
• it needs to be on transparent background (1-bit transparenty only)
• if it is animated, you only need to supply an animated GIF of the item
• otherwise it needs to be saved as a 24bit PNG file
2.2. Content requirements
• it needs to fit into Tibia’s setting
• it should not contain any direct references to a country, e.g. a Polish flag
• it’s a deco or fun item only, it will not change any character skills or stats
• it needs to be a takable item, for example it cannot be a solid furniture, but a bedside lamp would be alright
2.3. Graphical style
• it needs to have dark outlines
• it shouldn’t be too different from other Tibia items
• CipSoft’s content team reserves the right to revise the item
2.4. Further information needed by the content team

• should it do anything when you „use” it? One of the following options is possible:

If you wish to have a fansite item that can be hung on walls, you will need to give us three images (one version for the vertical walls, one version for the horizontal walls, and one version for the item when it’s not hung on a wall (32x32)). Having items that are hangable is quite difficult, because of the perspective of Tibia. If somebody wants to create a graphic for a hanging object, the tapestry that you can find in Tibia already could help as a guide.

This is my first time I participate in this kind of contest, here is just an idea, maybe later I create other sprites. :) :)

The Secret Guardian Doll

When used (in the animated form), this doll should glow in the dark, with yellow colour.
This item is a bit more complex, this item consists in 3 sprites [Humble form (animated), Transition to the Reward form (animated), Reward form (animated), this last form when clicked (used) returns to the Humble Form.
So this item have 2 stable forms and 1 decaying forms (3 seconds), each form will be identified, as well a demonstrative form with all the animations in one row just as demonstrative purposes.
Inspiration/History
A humble adventurer was trying to obtain his carlin sword at the place called "Minotaur Hell", when he was surrounded by minotaurs. Trying to run for his life, he ended up stuck in a corner, the minotaurs were getting closer and closer and his life was in danger, since his shield had broken in the first hits. In desperation the humble adventurer found a very dirty-looking shield half buried. He didn't think twice, even though it was a shield without great luxuries, he dug it up completely and equipped it.
Immediately, the magic contained in the shield detected his humble soul and activated the rewarded form. The humble adventurer was terrified by the fire coming out of his shield and transforming something dirty into a wonderful golden shield with a precious jewel.
Immediately a sound from the shield said the following: "Rookgaard will always protect the humble!"
The shield protected the humble adventurer, who immediately set out to fight the minotaurs and won easily, his life was saved.
The legend of this shield is still present today, obtainable only by humble adventurers.
Humble form (stable form = Permanent animation until clicked):
When used (click), the humble form transforms to a decaying form (transition to the Reward form), this news form has a decaying time of 3 seconds, after this time all the animation has finished and transforms to the Reward form:

This last item is inspired in Obi and his cousin Sam. It is a present from Sam to Obi when he decided to travel to Rookgaard after the king encouraged the salesman to go there. Since this day they never seen each other anymore...

I picked Minotaurs because I think of Minotaur Hell during my Rookgaard days! I've spent plenty of time in that room leveling, questing, and reading books over and over. Mino Hell holds a special place in my heart. Bare with me I might add some more special effects and minor edits to my images as I deem necessary as I'm new to this but for now, I'm very happy with the results. I enjoyed participating in this event so thank you Rookie.com.pl!
